What Arkton collects, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. Last updated 15 September 2026.

The short version

  • We collect what you give us and what we need to run Arkton for you.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising trackers.
  • Only what you choose to publish on your public profile is public.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, at any time.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, name, password (stored securely by our sign-in provider, never readable by us) and, if you add one, a phone number for verification.
  • What you add: your role, goals, resume, LinkedIn text, GitHub username, experience, projects, notes, diagrams, files, tasks and profile details.
  • Your learning activity: lessons completed, videos watched, practice exam attempts and your study plan.
  • Payments: handled by Razorpay. We keep your plan, subscription and order references and their status. We never see or store your full card number.
  • AI requests: the text you ask the AI to work on, the result, and a record of the credits used.
  • Support messages you send us, and the page you sent them from.
  • Technical data: sign-in cookies, and your IP address for security and to limit abuse.

How we use it

  • To provide Arkton: your courses, plan, career path, profile, notes, files and tasks.
  • To run the AI features you ask for, and only when you ask.
  • To take payments, keep your plan active and answer billing questions.
  • To reply to support and contact messages.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which parts of Arkton are used so we can improve them.

Your public profile

Your profile at profile.getarkton.com is private until you publish it. When you publish, the sections you choose are visible to anyone with the link and may appear in search results. You can change what it shows, or unpublish it, whenever you like.

Who helps us run Arkton

We use a small number of service providers, each only for what it does for us:

  • Cloudflare hosts the website and app, stores your files, and runs most AI requests (Workers AI).
  • Supabase provides sign-in and our database.
  • Anthropic handles AI requests that need a second model, and reads documents the first cannot.
  • fal.ai records the narrated weekly Tech Digest episode. Only the week’s news text is sent.
  • Razorpay processes payments.
  • Twilio sends phone verification codes.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers small preferences, such as light or dark theme and playback speed. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as payment records.

Security

Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Your files are private and are only served after we check you are signed in and allowed to see them. Access to our systems is limited to what is needed to run the service.

Your choices

You can see and change most of your information in Arkton at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct something you cannot change yourself, or delete your account, contact us.

Children

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
