AI is useful for the parts of certification and career planning that are tedious rather than hard: reading a resume into structured experience, laying out the steps between two roles, re-planning a schedule when your week changes. Arkton uses it for exactly those jobs, and keeps the cost low enough to include some every month.
What the AI does
- Reads your background. Upload a resume, add LinkedIn or GitHub, and it fills in your role, experience, skills and certifications. It suggests goals from what it read.
- Builds your career path. From your background and goals it lays out phases, certifications, projects and this week's first steps.
- Checks and re-plans your study plan. The on-track verdict is worked out from your data, not guessed. When something changes, the AI proposes a new schedule and shows the finish date before and after.
- Writes your public profile. Headline, about, impact numbers and project summaries, from facts in your background only.
- Reviews your resume against your goals, and drafts the resume you could present once your plan is done.
Credits, in plain numbers
Every action has a fixed price you see before you press the button: 10 credits for a career path, 8 to read your background, 5 for resume help, and 3 each for a plan check or writing your profile. Free accounts get 30 credits a month; Pro and every Team seat get 500. Extra packs start at $2.99 for 500 credits and never expire. If the AI cannot finish, the credits go back to you.
Why it is cheap
Most requests run on efficient open models on Cloudflare Workers AI, with Anthropic's Claude used as a fallback and for documents the first model cannot read. Tech Digest summaries are made once and shared by everyone, and the weekly narrated episode is recorded once a week for all listeners. Doing work once instead of per person is most of the saving.
What it will not do
It does not change your plan, profile or career record without you choosing to apply a suggestion. It is told not to invent employers, dates, numbers or credentials, and suggestions come from what you gave it. You can always edit the result by hand.
